This study by the Department of Sports and Health at the Taipei University of Nursing and Health was published this year in the Chinese Journal of Occupational Medicine. It targeted 100 workers who worked in the Greater Taipei area for more than one year and were between 20 and 50 years old, with an average age of 35 years old. 75% have university education and 45% are in the service industry. More than half (56%) of these workers belong to high working hours, that is, more than 192 hours per month, and nearly half (48%) are low wages, that is, the monthly remuneration is less than 39,950 yuan.
